Cake layout

1) This is a regular half sheet cake. I made this at home for a shower of one of my colleagues.  Click here for baking tips (Coming Soon .... )

Icing
2) Icing is butter cream icing. Use a parchment paper , lay it on the cake and gently peel it to get the smooth surface.
3)Use icing color to make pink and yellow icing.
4) The stork is drawn free hand with the regular tip.
5) For black icing I prefer to buy it from the store because home made black color is always a shade of grey.
6) The balloons are also from the same circle tip.

Decorations
No additional decorations were used on this cake.

Black Forest Baby Shower Cake

chocolate cherries decorations

The picture below is of a Black Forest Cake modified to be a Baby Shower Cake. Since black forest is my friend's favorite cake and cherries and chocolate shavings are an integral part of any black forest cake, this one has been made as a combination. The Baby is made from chocolate and so are the captions and rattle.
